What is Singles Day?

This celebration has been created in China because many people were not happy to be single, but it is not a negative thing! Being on your own means that you can think about yourself and maybe do some shopping!

It all started in 2009 when Alibaba, the successful and biggest Chinese online platform, put a discount on a big amount of products. Then it spread all over the world becoming the largest online and offline shopping day (in 2017 Alibaba Group earned so much in sales that Singles Day became four times the size of the American Black Friday event)!

This day should be fun and exciting for singles (or anyone) who want to buy something for themselves, but also take the opportunity to start shopping for Christmas gifts. However, it could be difficult and stressful for companies to have a good e-commerce platform and product information management software that can handle this massive amount of purchases!
